Keeping production moving at Lightweight Containers
Lightweight Containers manufactures some of the world’s most sustainable beer kegs. As a supplier to the global food and beverage industry, their facility in County Durham, England, operates to strict standards. In the UK, BRCGS-regulated environments ensure strict hygiene and food safety. The consequences of non-compliance are significant, including failed audits, production halts and reputational damage. When requirements called for physical segregation between production and storage areas, they needed a solution that would deliver full compliance without causing any production stoppages.
The right solution for a live environment
Westgate Global managed the project end-to-end, from initial survey and specification through to installation and handover. Two Flexiwall runs were specified and installed, creating a 99% dust-tight seal that eliminates dust spread, prevents cross-contamination and meets BRCGS requirements.

Flexiwall can be custom-designed to any height and length, making it well-suited to complex, tall industrial environments. Both runs were engineered to fit the facility precisely — with a guaranteed seal around all steelwork and protrusions that meets ISO 7 cleanroom standards, delivering the performance of a permanent structure without the limitations of traditional construction.
The first screen spans 275ft wide by 45ft high and is hung from purpose-installed support steelwork at the apex. The second, 88ft wide by up to 45ft high, incorporates foam infill above and down the sides to create a fully dust-tight seal around all protrusions and steelwork.
