Flexiwall 82ft high partition for storage segregation at major logistics hub
DHL Supply Chain provide contract logistics solutions for businesses across a wide range of industries globally. At their facility at Daventry International Rail Freight Terminal, one of the UK’s largest and most strategically important rail freight hubs, the team required a compliant partitioning solution to separate the storage of food and drink containers from non-food products.
Having appointed Westgate Global as an approved contractor following a recommendation from another DHL site, DIRFT approached the team to design and deliver the solution. Westgate Global recommended Flexiwall: a unique floor-to-ceiling fabric partition system that offered clear advantages over traditional partitioning methods.
A partitioning solution built around live operations
For a logistics facility operating at the pace and scale of DHL’s DIRFT site, disruption is not an option. Any partitioning solution needed to be installed quickly and cleanly, without impacting ongoing operations. It also needed to be adaptable enough to move with the business as requirements evolved.
Flexiwall met all of these criteria. The system installs rapidly with minimal mess, making it well-suited to live warehouse environments where work must continue throughout. Its modular design also means it can be easily reconfigured, relocated, or removed without damaging the building, an important consideration for a business where operational requirements can change over time.
Compliance was central to the brief. The new partition needed to create a clearly defined, compliant boundary between food-grade and non-food storage areas.
